Your primary role is to act as General Manager (GM) for your market and do
whatever it takes to establish Studi in Finland. As our Finnish GM, you will lead
and manage local sales and implementation teams, and establish and lead the
Helsinki office. You will have to be able to manage people from different teams
and functions and you will have to be an all-rounder, able to execute on sales,
marketing, PR, finance, operations and whatever else is needed for the success
of the market.
You are Studi Finland’s face outwards in our work to both invite new
municipalities and to continue to involve existing municipalities. You work to get
more municipalities to participate in our research and development project, ”A
school for everyone from day one”, (the Language Project). You are responsible
for ensuring that they understand and are involved in how Studi as a digital
teaching material and learning platform can contribute to a more equal and
inclusive school and that they are involved in the research we conduct. Together
with an implementation manager, you work for a good start and continuous use
and that Studi is a continuously important part for the municipalities in their
development and digitization journey.
Your role is both strategic and operational. You will switch between monitoring,
networking, strategic planning, budget, sales and customer care.
A key part of your role is to develop and strengthen relationships with our customers, users
and partners.
Your role will include
● Hiring and leading local sales and implementation teams
● Establishing and leading the culture of the Studi Finland office
● Own P&L for Finnish market
● Collaboration with core teams in Sales, Marketing, Growth, Product,
Design, Finance etc. in Studi, Binogi and Komplementskolan
● Responsible for planning budget and developing strategy for assigned
counties and municipalities
● Coordinate, implement and evaluate ”test pilots” and other activities for
the sale and follow-up in assigned counties and municipalities together
with the implementation manager
● Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate seminars and webinars for
school leaders and principals
● Responsible for school leaders and principals being aware of and familiar
with research and usage statistics for their municipality / school.
● Customer care for school leaders and principals
● Plan, implement and attend fairs and events
● Participate in / implement potential development projects within Studi or
Komplementskolan
● Participate in the debate on education and school issues
● Based in Helsinki, with initial training and onboarding in Sweden, and
occasional subsequent travel to Sweden (e.g every 1-2 months)

Your background and previous experience
● Demonstrated operational experience (e.g. 2-3 years at start-up)
● Experience managing team of 5+ people
● Demonstrated analytical expertise (e.g. 2-3 years in technology company,
consulting, banking, etc.)
● Experience in hiring and managing teams across functions, especially sales
and marketing
● Experience in a high growth consumer-facing startup
● Experience in setting and managing a budget
● Experience of eg school, education, sales and digitization
● Good communication skills, Finnish and English in speech and writing,
Swedish and other languages are a bonus
● Experience of project management and talking to a group
● Understanding and motivation of working user-centered
● Bonus is if you have previously worked with municipalities
